Network Sources
You can import tracks from your PLEX, Jellyfin or Subsonic compatible server such as Airsonic or Navidrome. (Funkwhale not supported).
Connect Tauon to a server
Section titled “Connect Tauon to a server”- Make sure your server is set up, running, and accessible.
- In Tauon, go to
MENU>Settings>Accountsand select the tab for your server type. - Fill in your account details, then click
Import music to playlist.
Offline caching
Section titled “Offline caching”Its possible to cache and compress network tracks for offline use. To do this simply transcode folders (or a playlist of folders) using the Transcode Folders feature and leave them in the output folder. In the event the network track is unreachable it will fall back to using transcoded tracks.
Tauon remote playback
Section titled “Tauon remote playback”The Tauon Satellite feature lets you use Tauon as a network source itself! This function lets you import playlists from another running instance of Tauon Music Box on the same network.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Only use on the same trusted LAN.
- Read-only: you can’t manage your collection remotely, only playback.
Set up
Section titled “Set up”- On the source PC, go to
MENU>Settings>Function>pg4and enable Remote control. - Find the source computer’s IP address (on Linux,
ip acan help). - On the satellite PC, go to
MENU>Settings>Accounts>Satelliteand enter the IP address (IP only, no protocol or port). - Enter the name of a playlist that exists on the source, then click Get playlist to import it.
